New Fashion Wrinkle: Stylishly hiding the Gun

This weeks article is about 182-year-old designer company, Woolrich, which has found a stylishy way to hide a gun or any other type of weapon a person may be fond of. This style is found in vests, jackets, or other kinds of garments. This company has added on extra pockets to garments and suits for these crazy people with theses crazy minds to carry weapons. I find that very unacceptable, and uncalled for, many people may take advantage of this this new outer where and use it, not for the right thing.
This company has competition, other companies out there are following Woolrish's new design, when finding out that they are alowed to make extra pockets for clothing so that people can carry around guns and other deadly weapons the clothing companies took advantage. I believe that theses companies are getting carried away with this new design.
I find this new design uncomfortable, because now your not sure if someone might just pull out a deadly weapon and kill you. I believe that this new design in clothing can make this world a very chaotic enviroment if this wear is not used wisely.

Three children found abandoned in Portland

Three kids ages three and under were found abandoned with no parents around, found with a group of homeless people. The investigation began by a call from a man who heard infant voices in the back of his house. CNN said, "The youngest among them is described by police as a 15-pound infant who is between the age of 8 and 15 months old. She has short black hair, brown eyes and two front, lower teeth showing. The next oldest child found is another girl. Weighing 28 pounds, she has long black hair and brown eyes and is about 2 years old, police estimate. The third child is a boy, approximately 3 years old. He also weighs 28 pounds and has brown eyes, as well as short black hair."
The homeless people said that their was a woman, supposedly the children's mother, who left them there the night before. The police are now trying to find out the children's identity at this moment.
I don't find this right why would a mother do that to her own kids if the lady was their mother. It might have been the fact that she wasn't able to take care of the kid's on her own, but if she couldn't manage the kid's on her own then why would she have them and just abandon them like that. It hurts me to hear that almost everyday there are kids out there that are still being abandoned in life. I have a few friends who are abandoned by their parents. I hurts them more than it hurts me because they don't have someone that loves them, or steps out of their way to see that their child has a better life and as for me I have two parents who love me, want the best for me, and is there for me every step of the way, and I still don't appreciate what they do for me.

This I believe "The Juice Box Mom"

Candance Gordon is the juice box mom she is called this name since she is always the one who signs up for  carrying or sending juice to any of her children's special occasions. Gordon says," I don't want to compete with the Alpha Moms who seemingly accomplish every parenting obligation to perfection." She added, "I believes I can contribute to my children’s lives in ways that are not as glamorous but just as important."
In her radio essay she said that she has tried many times to be like an Alpha Mom, meaning while she'd be cooking she would be doing other things at the same time like for instants, wash the dishes clean the bathroom little things like that.
She feels as though she is letting her children down dew to the fact that she does not spend as much time with her kids like other moms around her are doing. After many years of trying to be like an Alpha Mom and noticing that this is not working for her she decide's to be the Juice Box Mom. This allows her to not feel as bad as she did at first still allow her to spend time with her children.
It actually payed off, after one of her kids class parties the teacher went up to Candance and thanked her for bringing enough juice and more for the children in the class to drink. Walking out happily Candance realize's that she is a very good parent after all, for her kids and other kids around her.
I like the idea that she has to be juice box mom it sounds pretty nice to me. It's not all the time you find a mom committed to bringing a lot of juice for class parties, and other class occasions.

Afgan Girls, Scarred by Acid, Defy Terror, Embracing School

This article is base on the Afganistan girls who are trying to make a difference in their country by going to school as much as they can, but one day two girls while walking to school a guy drove up on his motorcycle and asked, "Are you going to school?" and with out an answer and no warning he sprayed acid in both of their faces causing scars and  boils to come over their face. Shamsia and her sister was the two girls that got sprayed with this acid, Shamsia's eyelids and most of her left cheek. Now her vision goes in and out, which makes it hard for her to read.
It was not only her and her sister but 14 other students and teachers who faces are scarred by the acid, they believe that they only do this in order to keep these young girls and teachers from going to school, and thinking that education is the wrong thing but these students and teachers are still attending school no matter what. In NY Times Shamsia said, “My parents told me to keep coming to school even if I am killed.” She added, “The people who did this to me don’t want women to be educated. They want us to be stupid things.”
I believe that this is one of the most dangerous thing that has happened for this past year, and also the most highly tragic thing you could do to someone who is trying to get their education and become more of a better person in life. I also think that something must be done with the people who go around and commit such a evil task to young women like these girls.

U.N. investigates abuse claims against Haiti peacekeepers

In Port-Au-Prince, Haiti several U.N. (United Nations) peacekeepers were sentence to one year in prison after being guilty of sexual abuse and exploitation. According to CNN "U.N spokes woman Sylvia Van Den Wildenberg said the several Pakistani police officers were convicted by Pakistani military court and were discharged. Pakistan also withdrew its 150 members of the U.N peacekeeping mission on Friday."
CNN says, "The officers were serving with two different units in different cities -- an undisclosed number in Port-Au-Prince and one in the northern city of Gonaives, U.N." spokesman Martin Nesirky told reporters. "The officers have been removed from their duties to reduce any contact with the local population while the investigation is under way."
I believe that because of what these two Pakistan officers that maybe no other Pakistan officer would be trusted to go to Haiti and do peacekeeping because of these two officers. This is what causes people to lose their trust in officers in these times, due to the fact that these  unworthy officers take advantage of the privilege that they have to help the world. Instead of them trying to stop crime they end up making it worse for people, especially the people that believe in them, it's not only officers but also the other criminal specialists that people look up to.

Santorum Sweep's the South

Santorum swept the south by winning Republican Presidential Primaries on Tuesday in Alabama and Mississippi. He had 35% of the votes in Alabama, way a head of Gingrich and Romney who both had 29% of the votes. In Mississippi, Santorum won 33% of the votes that Gingrich 31% and Romney 30% both had.
Santorum says,“We did it again.” He added “The time is now for conservatives to pull together.” Mr.Gingrich says,“The elite media’s efforts to convince the nation that Mitt Romney is inevitable just collapsed.” He added,“If you’re the front-runner and you keep coming in third, you’re not much of a front-runner.”
NY Times says,"A week after Super Tuesday cemented the status of Mr. Romney and Mr. Santorum as the leading Republican candidates, the outcome of the Alabama and Mississippi primaries strengthened Mr. Santorum’s argument that he should emerge as the final competitor to Mr. Romney. But Mr. Gingrich, who finished a close second in both states, noted that he earned about as many delegates as his rivals. He pledged to take his candidacy to the Republican convention in August."
I believe that if Santorum keeps getting more votes like that and even more he will be able to win this campaign, as for Romney and Gingrich they should step their game up a little bit more if they that interested in winning this campaign. Many voters are looking for a candidate that can win because of their idea's and good train of thought.

For Women Under 30, Most Birth's Occur Outside Marrige

This article "For Women Under 30, Most Birth's Occur Outside Marriage" is about how most women are having kids under the age of 30, it's not the fact that they have kids at a young age but out of wedlock. This for some people is a very normal. It can be hard on the soon to be parents of that child, the young parents might not be ready to take such a big step in life. This can cause stress to the parents because they might be very young like around 17-18 and is getting ready to finish high school but now that hey might have a baby on the way they might have to find a job and might have to drop college out of the picture. Most time if things don't go as planned the father of that child end's up leaving the mother to look after the child and might not come back, or sometimes the mother of that child leave's the child with the father which is very rear.
Reporters from CNN said, "Among mothers of all ages, a majority — 59 percent in 2009 — are married when they have children. But the surge of births outside marriage among younger women — nearly two-thirds of children in the United States are born to mothers under 30 — is both a symbol of the transforming family and a hint of coming generational change."
Even younger kids like 13-16 yr old's are getting pregnant now. I have a friend who is 15-16 and is pregnant right now, she said that she's happy about this and think that things are going to change, make things better for her, but I feel sorry for her because since she's young she doesn't understand that this can affect her, especially how she just started high school and is basically nowhere in life yet, no experience.

Young mom strangles tot with bra

The article "Young mom strangles tot with bra" is about a mother who kills her baby with a bra while the baby was aleesp which is tragic but nothing new because stuff like this happen majority of the time or everyday. 2 year-old baby girl was sleeping when her mother, Nioshka Bello strangled her baby with her white bra, Bello, upset with what she had done tried to kill herself by gulping down 20 Benadryl & Tylenol.
Nancy Grace a cnn reported said "She wanted to kill hers but got fustrated and decided kill her baby instead. With her bare hands, Bello tried to choke the baby and when she saw that it wasn't working out she took her bra of and strangled her baby to death.Grace also stated, "Shes at home eating chips with a sleeping 2year old baby and woops the baby end up dead."
The cops then came up to her house when all of a sudden, Bello dropped down confessed and was charged for 1st degree murder; possibly a whole life sentence.
I feel very sorry for that baby that died for no reason, she didn't deserve it and i find it hard to understand why the mother would do this to her own child, I know that everybody dies eventrally but no for no reason, but like my grandparents say the grave is not only for the old but for the young.

Facebook is Using You

This article "Facebook is Using You" written by a law professor Lori Andrews, is about how facebook has a way of hacking into peoples accounts and seeing peoples supposedly private information. It's not only facebook that can do this but google and g-mail hind ways to hack into peoples private accounts and messages. Andrews is trying to explain to us that we should be more careful, and educate by telling us that what ever we do online you can be easily tracked.
She stated, "Facebook makes money by selling ad space to companies that want to reach us. Advertisers choose key words or details — like relationship status, location, activities, favorite books and employment — and then Facebook runs the ads for the targeted subset of its 845 million users."
I myself have a facebook but don't really go on it as much as I used to. Since I don't put all my information online I'm not really worried about what's going on and for the post that I might put on Facebook is not inappropriate so I don't really have much to worry about. There are times that i worry about putting certain things on there because people like to whole you against things you might have said in the past and didn't really mean, I worry because if my friends our family see what I have wrote on my wall they their not the only people that would know, in my family once one person knows everybody knows.

I'm a criminal and so are you

In a CNN article called "I'm a criminal and so are you", was mainly about a lady who is a law professor that states that she is a criminal because she has committed a crime whether it's lying, stealing, or even cheating, she admits that she has done something like this and nobody is perfect so everyone has found themselves doing something dishonest, as long as it's dishonest and you now its dishonest its a crime. She also said that many people so many people are going to jail for to long and may end up dying in the jail cell just for committing one crimes. She said, "In this country, we force millions of people -- who are largely black and brown -- into a permanent second - class status, simply because they once committed a crime."
She also said that even the most popular people that most people have and could still be committing crimes like Barack Obama the professor says that he might not see himself as a criminal but he is. CNN article says, "He has admitted to using illegal drugs during his college years -- lot's, in fact." they also said, "Maybe if Obama thought of himself as a criminal he wouldn't have just endorsed spending even more money on prisons at a time when scarce resources would be much better spent on education or health care, or just about anything else."

In China, Human Costs Are Built Into an iPad

In " In China, Human Costs Are Built Into an iPad" The New York Times finds out that a lot of combustions are happening in China because of the tiny aluminum dust, many people that work in these factories have been seriously injured or dead form this explosion one person that has experienced this tragedy was Lai Xiaodong, Mr. Xiaodong was working in the Apple factory for about 5 months and had married a beautiful nursing student his life was alright, he had a good life compared to the the other employees that had about 20 people to a three roomed apartment.
NY Times says,"Last year, a dispute over paychecks set off a riot in one of the dormitories, and workers started throwing bottles, trash cans and flaming paper from their windows, according to witnesses. Two hundred police officers wrestled with workers, arresting eight. Afterward, trash cans were removed, and piles of rubbish — and rodents — became a problem. Mr. Lai felt lucky to have a place of his own."
Two weeks before the explosion a advocacy located in HongKong sent a warning of the unsafe conditions in the factories. The day of the explosion the employees had to work 2x harder and dust 2x faster which caused the explosion, the building began to shake and then there was a big explosion 4 people died and 18 people were injured, Xiaodong was one the injured.
Times said,"At the hospital, Mr. Lai’s girlfriend saw that his skin was almost completely burned away. “I recognized him from his legs, otherwise I wouldn’t know who that person was,” she said. Eventually, his family arrived. Over 90 percent of his body had been seared. “My mom ran away from the room at the first sight of him. I cried. Nobody could stand it,” his brother said. When his mother eventually returned, she tried to avoid touching her son, for fear that it would cause pain. “If I had known,” she said, “I would have grabbed his arm, I would have touched him.” “He was very tough,” she said. “He held on for two days.”

Cracking Teenagers Codes

Danah Boyd is a senior researcher at Microsoft and a assistant professor at New York University, she talks about how parents and teachers worry about what we do on the internet, posting information about our-selves, bulling, and stexting. She explains that parents and teachers are worried about the wrong thing and since they worry so much our ability to go out and roam it taken away from us.
In the article Boyd says,"Letting your child out to bike around the neighborhood is seen as terrifying now, even though by all measures, life is safer for kids today." she added, “We need to give kids the freedom to explore and experience things online that might actually help them,” she also added. “What scares me is that we don’t want to look at the things that make us uncomfortable. So rather than see what teenagers are showing us online about bullying and suicide and the problems they’re dealing with and using that information to help them, we’re making ourselves blind to it.”
I highly agree because now if we kids don't get their feedom we might end up seeking around and doing things that were not supose to be doing. For instance some kids get in gangs, drugs, get pregnat, etc., and when the parents or guardian finds out that their kids are in this problem they wonder why they would do something like that.

Crusies Disaster

Many people have been talking about this for the pas few days. Passengers on the Costa Concordia were enjoying themselves drinking, playing, having fun, minding their own business, trying enjoy their little vacation, when all of a sudden the ship began to tilt and began to go on its side, and people began to panic and was frightened by the turning of the ship. Kids and mothers came out of the ship first then the men and sailors last.
I believe that they should have been a little bit more cautious of where there head and must check the ship before  they leave. I'm sure that they checked the ship before they left out and took sail, but they have to try and keep in mind that they are carrying passengers. Some people have opinions on what had happened, like freshman Takirah Gauthney she said," I feel sorry for all those people that was part of that situation."

Teaching Kids How to Break Up Nicely

In "Teaching Kids How to Break Up Nicely" Benoit Denizet - Lewis talks about teens that break up over Facebook. Most of the teens in this article have been cyber dumped before.
The aricle includes quotes from teens that have experienced being cyber dumped. Teens come to a conclusion that no one talks about relationships anymore. In the article a teen said, "No one talks to young people about this aspect of relationships."
I believe that people should be able to sit aside, talk to their children about relationships and break ups. this article reminds me of one of my close friends that was cyber dumped and nearly commited suicide, but she didn't. She was later on take to a rehab for kids and she later got out, she's ok and doin well now and is very talented with singing.

This article helps me realize that parents need to be able to pull their child aside and talk to them more, even spend a day with them show their kids that they care, that's really all we need love, and to know that you care.

Dead Bodies Found

Around 2:30a.m, in Mexico City the police found ten men and three boy bodies at the gas station the investigators say that they had signs of being shot in their head. CNN says that, "Police found the bodies stacked outside a gas station convenience store in Zitacuaro, Mexico, around 2:30 a.m." The investigators found a small written note left on the crime scene, now they try to find out who commited this crime and what was the caused of these thirteen mens death. they also stated on CNN that," Michoacan, Mexican President Felipe Calderon's home state. Shortly after taking office in December 2006, he announced plans to deploy federal troops there to help the government's fight against organized crime."
It's ashame how every day there's a new crime, it's like one can go with out a day with hurting somes feelings, or killing someone, especially someone close to you. While doing some research I found out that there are 45 crimes per day. It's just sad to know that there's always someone always dying or someone close to the point were there adout to die.

Plan B

A decision made by Kathleen Sebelius to keep age restrictions on the purchase of the “morning after pill” Sebelius made it clear on the news."I made this decision was she could not be confident that a 10-year-old or an 11-year-old go into a drugstore, should be able - alongside bubble gum or batteries - be able to buy a medication that potentially, if not used properly, could end up having an adverse effect." I agree and disagree, I agree because teens and under are not suppose to be having babies at a young age and honesty should not be getting any type of medication over the counter, under the age of eight-teen. I disagree because most teens now a days are having kids at a very young age and will need this type of medication in order to get rid of any pain that may be bothering them. In CNN  news Obama says,  “As the father of two daughters,” Obama said. “I think it is important for us to make sure that we apply some common sense to various rules when it comes to over-the-counter medicine.” They also added that, "President Obama told reporters Thursday that he “did not get involved in the process,” but that he supports the decision."

Biggest story of 2011

The top two biggest stories of 2011 countdown.
First, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries had their dream wedding but the "living happily ever after" didn't last for so long, after 72 days of marriage both Kim and Kris singed for divorce. the news has it that  questions are being ask like, "What will happen to the wedding gifts?, Was there an agreement?, Will kim be still be starring in Tyler Perry's new movie?, And finally what went wrong in the marriage?."these questions are still out there and will soon be answered.
Secondly, after 14 months of marriage on December 30 around Christmas time Russell Brand announced that he will be divorcing Katy Perry, everyone around was shocked to hear something so deep most people knew that they might divorce but not so soon. On the news they stated, "These aren't people who give up," the second source says. "I always thought they would work on their marriage if they had trouble."
